SUNDAY, JUNE 8
Hiromi, Yuki, me and Noriko. We're waiting for the train at the Shin-Kashiwa station. Kotoe took the picture. We decided to ride the train to LaLa Port. The others rode in the various cars driven by our cousins.
Mommy, Auntie Keiko and Aunt Mizue.
Yuichi, Cheryl, Yoko and Aunt Mizue.
Mariko is proud of her ice cream creation.
Izumi, her husband, Keiji and her father, who is my Uncle Hide.
Miho, Yuichi, Cheryl, me and Aunt Mizue.
Aunt Mizue, Cheryl and Yuichi.
Keiji (Izumi's husband), Uncle Hide, Fred and John at LaLa Port, where we just finished eating at the Grand Buffet.
It's our last day in Japan.
We spend most of it cleaning up the house and packing.
But that night, we decide to go to the LaLa Port shopping mall and have dinner at the Grand Buffet.
This is really funny. Here, we can go to Golden Corral or Ryan's and stay and eat for hours.
At the Grand Buffet, you have a two-hour time slot. After two hours, I guess they shoo you out of the restaurant.
It was a huge crowd as usual: the seven of us, the Kono family (Auntie Keiko; her son, Ken-chan and his wife, Mariko and their two children, Yuki and Eri; her daughter, Noriko and her children, Fuyuka and Masataka), the Araya family (Aunt Mizue and her daughter, Kotoe; and elder daughter, Hiromi, and her children, Yuichi and Miho), Yoko Mochizuki, who Aunt Mizue's niece and Uncle Hide Araya and his daughter, Izumi and her husband, Keiji. Missing were Noriko's husband, Keiichi Tadaki, who is a prominent member of the Japanese justice department and Tsune-chan. Hiroshi, who is Noriko's youngest son, was working, so he was not able to come, either. And Izumi's sister, Midori and her family did not come.
Anyway, a good time was had by all. And a lot of food was consumed. A lot.
Some of us took the train to LaLa Port and back. I did. I wanted to ride the train once more before coming home.
Back at the house, we packed some more.
And went to bed early.
